A beginners taster session to climbing for approximately 1 hour (includes a certificate for the bravest) Meal Included!
You will be taught all you need to use the top rope walls and bouldering walls safely. by experienced instructors guiding us through the use of skills with the emphasis being on personal responsibility and the use of safe climbing practices.
The evening leads onto a meal and a chance to get together and have a drink!

Leyland Round Table's visit to The North West Face Indoor Climbing Centre is located in a 19th Century Church just off the A49 in Warrington. It offers 50ft lead walls with 24 lines and over 80 routes and a further 32 top ropes up to 45ft high with 150 routes! There is also a bouldering wall with some of the most imaginative options to choose from. In all there is over 14,000 sq ft of climbing!
The North West Face Climbing Centre prides itself on being one of the safest sporting complexes in the industry to ensure that the time we spend climbing is safe and enjoyable. They have been instructing people of all ages, from no experience to the most advanced climber.
For this session with Leyland Round Table we have experienced instructors to guide us through the proper use of belay equipment, knot tying and basic top rope climbing on a range of different walls and routes. The emphasis is on personal responsibility and the use of safe climbing practices. At the end of this short course it is intended that we will have enough information to climb indoors with confidence and complete safety. This course is open to those interested in experiencing activities with Leyland Round Table and therefore suited to those over 18 years and male.

PLEASE NOTE:
Sports wear should be worn for this event (No Jeans to be worn) and Trainers are a must, leave the high heels in the wardrobe!
MEAL OPTION:
After the climbing event we will Meet at the Toby Carvery for their adopted British Classics of Chicken Balchao, Beef Handi and Mushroom & Spinach Curry (V). Help yourself to rice, mango chutney, yoghurt & mint dip, mini poppadoms and onion bhajis!

The North West Face Indoor Climbing Centre is an active and founder member of the Association of British Climbing Centres and adhere to their published 'Guidelines for the Management and Operation of Climbing Walls'. We take lead belaying and lead climbing very seriously, and we continually institute policies to ensure safety in this area. Personal Responsibility. Participants are informed that rock climbing - and lead climbing in particular - does involve risk and that all climbers and belayers must be willing to take personal responsibility for their own safety as well as that of their partner.
* All participants must sign a form declaring their ability to climb at The North West Face upon arrival acknowledging their own personal responsibility for safe climbing.
